What services do you provide?
Behavior Spot provides only ABA therapy. We focus on increasing skill sets in communication, play, socialization, self-help, etc. Increasing these skills help to decrease maladaptive behaviors.
Do you offer in-home or community services?
Our services are clinic based only. We beleive the clinic setting provides a structured, supportive environment that allows children to focus on their goals while having access to a wide range of therapy materials and resources.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to start services?
Families can contact us directly to inquire about services. However, we need a referral from your child's PCP or pediatrician to begin services. In addition to a referral, some insurance plans require a diagnostic report. Our team will guide you through meeting the requirements of your insurance.
Which insurance plans do you accept?
We accept commercial plans including Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UHC. We accept all Tennessee Medicaid plans including UHC, Blue Care, TennCare Select, Cover Kids, and Wellpoint. We also accept some Kentucky Medicaid plans including Aetna Better Health, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and regular Medicaid.
What if my insurance plan changes?
No problem -- please let us know as soon as possible so we can update your information and check your new benefits.
Will my insurance cover the full cost of services?
Coverage varies by plan. Some policies require copays, deductibles, or prior authorizations. Our billing team will check your benefits and explain any out-of-pocket costs before services begin.
What if I have secondary insurance?
We can bill both primary and secondary insurance. If the primary denies or partially covers services, we'll submit to the secondary payer.
