Before beginning services, Behavior Spot will check your eligibility. We want to make sure we are the right fit for your child and family. Once this has been determined, you will need to complete all in-take paperwork and provide Behavior Spot, LLC with all insurance information. We will help you every step of the way.
You will meet with a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). The BCBA will work with you and your child to complete the initial assessment. This assessment helps us learn more about the challenging behaviors and the why behind the behavior.
The supporting assessment is completed by a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) 1:1 with your child. This assessment will identify skill deficits. The data from this assessment will be used to develop treatment goals that focus on building skills.
The BCBA will develop the treatment plan and skill acquisition programs. The BCBA will compile all the data gathered during intake, PFA process, and supporting assessments to create an individualized plan for your child.
Once the BCBA has completed the plan, you will review and provide any feedback you may have. The BCBA will use their best clinical judgment to make any necessary changes to the plan. The BCBA will discuss scheduling with you at this point.
You will then be introduced to your RBT team. The RBT is a paraprofessional that works under the close and ongoing supervision of a BCBA. The RBT works directly with your child to implement the treatment plan and skill acquisition programs. Your child will have multiple RBTs during their treatment journey. Having more than one therapist helps generalize and maintain skills. Your child's BCBA will oversee implementation of treatment plans, analyze data, and make any necessary changes to treatment plans.
